Study in AustraliaEnglish Study in AustraliaIn Australia, there are several options for English study. Some universities offer English study to overseas students; however, this is generally very expensive. The most popular form of English study is at private institutions that are accredited with English Australia, the government body which regulates English tuition. By enrolling to study with one of these institutions, students are eligible for a student visa (416). If students plan to study for less than three months, then they only require a tourist visa. GloboStart has developed a close relationship with a leading Brisbane English School to provide you with excellent tuition for a low cost. University Study in AustraliaThe fees for enrolling in university study as an overseas student (non-Australian resident) are very expensive. You can expect to pay around AU15,000 for each year of study. To avoid paying these fees, students from other countries can do ‘exchanges’ in Australia where they only pay their home university’s tuition fees. Generally, you can only do an exchange if the particular Australian university has a formalized agreement with your home university. These vary a lot for each university. In addition, each Australian university has different internal regulations and preferences overseas students on exchange. GloboStart currently does not offer packages for university exchanges. However, GloboStart is willing to assist if you are interested. GloboStart is intending to expand into assisting in university exchanges in the future. Tell me more about the English School in BrisbaneGloboStart’s premier English school in Australia is located in Brisbane, the gateway to Australia’s tropical north. What if I want to go to a different city in Australia? In addition to Brisbane, GloboStart can send you to Australia’s two other great cities: Sydney and Melbourne. The English schools in these cities are similar to the school in Brisbane, however the tuition costs are higher. Some students may wish to travel to these cities because of family or friends living there, or other personal arrangements. GloboStart will soon have packages for English study in Sydney and Melbourne! What is IELTS?IELTS is the 'International English Language Testing System'. It is an examination which gives you a competency level in English that can be used for obtaining visas, entry into jobs or university. It is the most widely recognized system in the western world. For example, an IELTS level of 6.0 is required to do an internship or study at university in Australia. 2.
